Mephistopheles started in the year of 2007 rising from the depths of Visakhapatnam(India).The Band members are Ajay, Kranti, Mark, Jayant, bhavishya, Charan. The Band members are childhood friends who met after many years. They started jamming and playing covers mostly and within no time moved on to creating their own music. The band believes in creating original, raw, energetic music. Mephistopheles got the  first breakthrough at the Statewide band Hunt auditions which was  the first time the band had ever performed on stage , reaching all the way to the Semi finals of the competition.

Mephistopheles music  is  influenced by Moonspell and Napalm Death . According the Band ‘Mephistopheles never compromises in its music & will go on Shredding, Screaming, grilling for their mettle!’  Ranjan writes lyrics for Mephistopheles, the  lyrics are not confined to any one subject and can be interpreted in many different ways. Mephistopheles aims to be a major factor in the Metal landscape for years to come.
