Band of the Day: Odyssey

October 10, 2009

Odyssey, suratFrom Relatively unknown city on the rock circuit surat, comes Odyssey, with a vision and maturity. The band consist of seasoned professionals and they have been playing on Gujarat since some years. Odyssey is Yogi’s vision for original music strongly supported by Chaitanya & Himanshu, Divyang doing the drum duties. The band is driven by the philosophies of existence in 21st century modern world. And the songs have the same enormity as the world around us. Musically not putting themselves to boundaries, they are into finding the right soundscapes for the lyrical thought process without putting them or worrying about genres. The two demos are a strong indication for the same. The band has decided to release a self produced album “No Hay Banda” by this year end to start their musical odyssey in Indian alternative music scene.

Heavily electronic, almost like it was entirely done on a software. Disappointing :(

Love the cover graphics though :)

@ abhishek, you are somewhat correct, the drum tracks are done on software, but only drums, everything else has been played live. Its just the demo, If you can please look beyond that and tell us how you find the compositions??
