‘Somewhere Out there’ – Babu n Friends
The Best things in life are for fee, yet sometimes they go unnoticed. In one such case, one of the best albums to come out of Indian Underground has not received its due recognition. ( or probably it did, but I noticed it very late
). Mumbai based guitarist ‘Babu Choudhary’ produced one of the best blues album titled ‘Somewhere out there’ in 2008 (which is available on iTunes , amiestreet and Amazon ) . Babu n Friends comprises of some of the best talent out there , Ranjit Barot, Zubin Bolaparia (Indus Creed) , Shazneen , Amit Dutta , to name a few from the long list of talented pool of musicians. Even though guitar maestro Babu keep a very low profile, his music does stand out, ‘Somewhere Out there‘ is probably one of the best albums I have heard from the Indian Underground in recent years.
